Perhentian Islands Turtle ‘Conservation’ Project
Saturday, September 1st, 2007It is very sad to see that the island’s turtle conservation project is still being run in an irresponsible way. Last year the conservation project was investigated by journalists. This year it seems they are still keeping baby turtles in buckets, which is very bad for the hatchlings as you can see here . The following photos were taken at Tiga Ruang beach this year. Incidentally, the people responsible for the turtle conservation project is the Department of Fisheries:
