Your Carbon Footprint

Flying is one of the fastest increasing causes of global warming due to the carbon emissions from aeroplanes. There is a great webpage here explaining a bit about it. Why not become a green traveller? You can neutralise your carbon footprint (and help minimise global warming) by calculating your emissions and donating to a reforestation programme. We have found that catching the overnight train is a very relaxing and environmentally friendly way alternative to flying when we travel to/from Singapore or Kuala Lumpur. You get a nice bed compartment to sleep in, and even travelling first class is cheaper than taking a flight. Take a good book (or a laptop and movie) and enjoy the experience.

Catching the bus is even cheaper and still comfortable. Most companies provide vehicles with large recling seats. Catching the bus directly to the port of Kuala Besut is possible from both Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.
